What is ‘me time’ to you?
For me, it's usually time spent in my bed in front of my laptop, eating chocolate while discovering and watching movies/series. I can get pretty obsessed with movies and TV series, as I love to discover new and old movies, of any genre, that challenge me mentally and suit my mood on the day.

Lately, I have re-ignited my obsession with Twin Peaks. As the third season has just started, I've been re-watching the first two seasons, the movie, Fire Walk With Me, as well as starting to read the Secret History of Twin Peaks by Mark Frost. I have always been such a Twin Peaks nerd! I remember the first time I watched it in 2009 - I did not go out of the house for like a week! I would even prepare myself a slice of cherry pie and coffee to have while watching the show.

I guess I enjoy being overwhelmed by cinema and stories, and to the point that sometimes I do worry myself that my head is filled with all these images, and I that I have been absorbing too much. When I feel that way, I'll distract myself and focus on another activity - the best of of all; reading.

So, another way of enjoying my 'me time' that I've done a few times lately, is to go to my favourite cafe, Heart Attack and Vine, have a cup of coffee, and catch up with my reading. For the past few weeks, I've been reading The Course of Love by Alain de Botton, and Clarice Lispector's Near to the Wild Heart.

I enjoy nothing more than drinking a latte or glass of wine, and being immersed in these stories.
